Can you check inside the glass tube to make sure it's not wet. If everything looks dry and the bulb is on, it can be a faulty ballast.
Can I attache the PVC piping to my Bluonics UV unit?
The piping doesn’t need to be metal but UV light will degrade PVC piping over time, causing damage to the pipe plastic. Instead of a hard PVC pipe, we recommend a flexible stainless steel line or something like Falcon Stainless Steel Flex Line.

You should always install the UV sterilizer last, after the softener, Filtration systems or the tank. If the water is cloudy or high in turbidity, it is essential to treat the water prior to treating with UV light.
